The massive Apple iPad Pro offers a laptop-sized 12.9-inch display, dwarfing the 9.7-inch iPad Air 2 and the 7.9-inch iPad Mini 4. At first, the size feels overwhelming after getting up close and personal with it at the BuyBackWorld facilities. But the stunning 2,732×2,048 Retina display, Apple’s most advanced ever, instantly sucks you in with its vivid colors and flawless navigation.

A monster on the inside as well, the iPad Pro runs on iOS 9 powered by Apple’s third generation A9X chip and a 2.26GHz dual-core processor. It’s packed with 4GB of RAM and offers an 8-megapixel rear camera paired with 1.2-megapixels in the front. The basic 32 GB option comes with a $799 price tag, but the more powerful 256 GB WiFi + Cellular version sets you back $1,229.

Additional features include four booming speakers, one per corner, and available Split Screen viewing to either double your productivity or feed your procrastination. The device’s main optional accessories are an Apple Pencil valued at $99, along with the $169 Smart Keyboard showcased below.

Apple Pencil and Apple Smart Keyboard

The aptly named Apple Pencil is responsive to pressure and shading and smoothly glides across the screen with no lag, successfully mimicking the writing or drawing experience. The Smart Keyboard easily connects to the iPad Pro with its Smart Connector technology, instantly transforming your tablet into a laptop for more comfortable and efficient typing.

BuyBackWorld Bottom Line: Despite its jump in size and power, the iPad Pro is a hardly-noticeable .88 mm thicker and .59 lbs heavier than the iPad Air 2. Its impressive power is packed into a thin and light build topped off by a robust LCD. Initial use of this giant display may feel awkward, particularly in portrait mode, but watching a movie, using an app, or doing office work are all taken to the next level because of it. In addition, the Apple Pencil and Smart Keyboard, although pricey, allow the Pro to double as a laptop or canvas.

Although not a suitable laptop replacement, especially given the price, and not as portable as previous iPads, the new Pro is a state-of-the-art, powerhouse tablet that offers innovative versatility for those willing to reach deep into their pockets.

If you’re interested in making the upgrade, you can always sell your used iPad to BuyBackWorld to offset the cost.
