How to Remove Your iPhone's SIM Card

Removing your iPhone's SIM card is really easy to do and will help put your mind at ease before you send BuyBackWorld your old phone. You can either use a SIM card removal tool or just any plain old paperclip will do.
For the iPhone 2G, 3G, and 3GS, the SIM card port is located on the top of the phone between the headphone jack and the power button. On the iPhone 4, the SIM card is located on the right side of the handset (opposite side of the volume key). The SIM card used on the iPhone 4 is actually a microSIM which is smaller than the standard SIM card.
How To Remove Your SIM Card:
To remove your SIM card, simply place the SIM card removal tool or paperclip tip in the tiny hole located on the SIM port. Push down firmly until you hear a click and the SIM card tray pops out. Pull it out and just dump your SIM card onto a table.
How To Replace Your SIM Card:
To put your SIM card back, simply insert the card back into the tray in the proper direction. Next insert the SIM tray into the SIM slot in the correct direction and push it back inside your iPhone until it securely locks into place.
